Brillant piece of kit,
13 June 2005
Excellent, I use it with my Sony Ericsson T630. The battery life of it is excellent I use it on long journeys and works great. If I was to be constantly on the phone then I think that in-car charger would be a wise accessory. It is very easy to use, two buttons one to answer phone and a rotation one for sound. works great in noisy van, it even rings in your ear when your phone is on silent. the only problem with it i have is that when answering the phone it sometimes takes a while to connect but this is a problem accross bluetooth headsets. Brilliant for the price, a bargain.

People can't hear you clearly.,
11 June 2005
I was really excited getting a bluetooth headset. But it turned out to be a bad experience with this one. You can hear other people clearly, but when you talk they can barely hear you, the people on the other end said, that they felt like i was talking on a speakerphone probably 50 feet away.
I used it with the Nokia 7610.
Pros - Price
Cons - Bad sound quality, the headset can be broken easily if stretched too much while putting it on.

I was excited when I got it, I had background checks on this item and was rated very highly, but it is really Staticy. SO much, I had to buy a different one. DO not waste your money.

Argh. I ignored reviews, as they were conflicting,
23 May 2005
So, because of the "It's great!" vs. "IT SUCKS" reviews, I ordered a few of these for people at my office. We have voip phones, and staff in New York, Portland, and... I wanted one myself because they seem neat.
Everyone hates them, and we're all using different hardware. It works "Fine" with my Motorola a630, until is disconnects randomly or if I need to use while moving *At all*, then it becomes excessively staticy. I also want to use it with my laptop at times, for the softphone, and... what a huge pain. I still can't figure out how to make this stable.
Other people are using it strictly with a PC or a Mac (both, in this case) for voip soft phones... and they either stop working randomly, are staticy, and in one case the mic just sounds HORRIBLE on the other end.
suck. Will return them all, I guess, in exchange for something "better". sigh.

I like it - good for the money,
23 May 2005
I'm sure there are better units, but I didn't feel like spending the extra $30 for the next one up. Yes, there are some "wind issues", but I don't know how you can get away from that. Fits my ear well (it's a fairly average ear, I think...)
Connecting via Bluetooth to my Cingular/Treo 650 is very reliable. Battery charge is excellent.
Setup is easy, but the instructions are a little difficult to follow because they have the translation of every sentence into about 20 languages. It was the first blue tooth device I ever had and I was very impressed with the ease of use from the beginning.

Good but range seems to be less than Bluetooth should allow,
18 May 2005
This is a comfortable bluetooth headset, having a soft rbubery finish and a flexible section to allow it fit your ear nicely. If you're not used to wearing a headset you may find it a little uncomfortable to start with but that soon fades and you hardly notice it after then. Battery life is around 5 hours as claimed. I have found that range is a little limited - whereas other devices are fine in other rooms of the house, this headset rapidly crackles and then loses audio and thats with near line-of-site and modern studwork interior walls. Packaging is thankfully limited, and the documentation is concise but adequate - aside from the simple controls it's a case of leaving Bluetooth to do its thing. The M2500 comes with a mains charger and does charge quickly, provided clear indication when it is ready (a red LED while charging changes to green when it's finished). A good headset, but a shame about the range.

Worked right away and works well!,
13 May 2005
After trying two other brands, this one actually works! I can get about 45 feet away from the phone - even with walls in between. Fits nice, don't even notice it after a little while. And I'm hard of hearing, but it has GREAT volume!
Good product. TERRIBLE manual.

almost the best,
25 April 2005
I like this headset. it fits snugly, but after wearing awhile the earbud becomes uncomfortable. the sound quality is great but does get noise outdoors. I had no trouble setting it up once I figured out the manual. In the future I think I will go with the design that does not go into the ear.

Waste of Money,
20 April 2005
I am using this device with an HP IPaq 6315, which is admittedly not the world's greatest phone to begin with.
The Plantronics is basically useless unless you can insulate yourself from external sound sources. So you can exclude such mundane uses as walking on city streets. In Manhattan the only way I could hear another person was to cup one hand over the Plantronics unit. If I wanted to do that, I could have just held the phone to my ear. What's the point of a hands-free connection that requires hands to use?
Keep shopping and leave this thing on the store shelves, where it belongs.

crackling and windy sound from the other person's (listener),
17 April 2005
On my treo 650, and my gf's sony ericson phone with bluetooth, there were crackling and windy sound was noticed and annoyed by the person I'm calling or talking to. It sometimes will connect clear and others not when I listen, but it always was crackling and had a that windy sound according to the person I'm talking to.
I have to say that the fit is great, and it is very light. Talk time is probably 3.5 to 4 hrs. Too bad you can't replace the battery on this, it it will be disposed when the battery loses charge.
