Broken ear clips,
16 June 2005
I have had this product for just under a month and now the second earclip is cracked and about to break. The little ring that connects to the main unit is thin plastic and snaps easily under light to moderate use. Now I guess I have to find more of them somewhere or stop using the device.

It doesn't work with a PC,
10 June 2005
If you want to use this device with your PC, buy another device. It doesn't work. I have called Plantronics support service and they say that it doesn't work.
It works fine with my mobile phone. But is useless for PC.
The problem is that Plantronics says that it works with PCs... What a shame. I feel I have been cheated

Excellent noise cancelling,
01 June 2005
This is the 3rd bluetooth headset I am trying (Jabra & Motorola) being the other two. Even though this is a bit bulky, I feel comfortable wearing it around my right ear. The noise cancelling is the best part of this headset. While driving on both highways & city roads, I have not had anyone complain about the background noise. I do have to attend a bunch of conference calls while I drive and this has been the best headset so far in term of clarity and noise cancelling quality. I have it paired to my Blackberry 7100t phone.

Great Sound, Good Fit, Great Price,
01 June 2005
I had my doubts about this headset when I read the other reviews, but I jumped in and bought it anyway because of the price, and July is around the corner and Chicago's cell phone law goes into effect. I only use it in the car and the sound I get is very good. The battery lasts long but cut the numbers that Plantronics gives you by 25%
I did take a walk away from my phone and the signal did get a little choppy after about 20 feet, but like I said I only use this in the car. It paired with my Motorola V551 instantly with no problems. The ear loop was a little uncomfortable, but after I bent it away from the headset right where the rubber part starts, it fit perfectly after that.
The thing is a little big and if you move your head side to side quickly it flaps on your face but it does sit securely on your ear. You can bend to pick something up or reach up high and it will sit on your ear.
Overall I'm happy with it, and for the price you can't go wrong.

Definitely not for PC,
30 May 2005
From the Product Description, it mentioned it can also be used on PC with bluetooth. Well, it's not true. I tried to set it up but cannot get through. They should have included the Widcomm software to be able to communicate with my notebook.

Pairs well with Jabra Non-Bluetooth Adapter,
25 May 2005
Contrary to what Jabra says, this will pair with their A200 non-bluetooth phone adapter. Tried Moto HS 820, Sony HBH-35, but this is only non-Jabra that will pair with it. Noise canceling good. Kinda clunky, but works well.

Superb product from Plantronics,
16 April 2005
Great product for a great price. I bought it when Amazon was selling this for $45.00(ok I had a gift certificate, so what?!). Instructions below are for use with PC. First I got the belkin bluetooth adapter F8T001 with 100m range from other place where it was cheaper. Then the decision of selecting headset was a tough one. Tough, because from the few economical options available combined with reliability and functionality, plantronics and logitech seemed to be the obvious choice. Despite reading negative reviews about the 3000M I decided to go with it. A snap decision based on two criterin: 1)Past experience with Plantronics--DSP 500 headset I have(another gem from Plantronics)-- product, and 2) Cool looks against all comparable options. Trust me, it was tough to overcome the burden of tens of positive reviews for logitech--which is a good company too--against the deluge of negative reviews for M3000.
Then the installation part. It gave me trouble initially because I screwed up by neglecting the directions. Geeky overconfidence, what else? :-) Frantically I called plantronics folks too, but, I guess a Friday call meant a waste of time for both of us. Their geeks were out for weekend and the frontdesk women were of no help(with all due respects but ...that's the fact. A couple of them went to the extent of presposterously claiming that the 100m v.2 belkin BT adapter is no good but the 10m v.1.1 old model works. So much for tech helpdesk!)!!! Then I googled and read about Widcomm drivers and what not[Don't be scared you will be fine without knowing any of these stuff]!
Finally I reverted to the adapter manual directions, uninstalled it and reinstalled it. [The problem is with Win XP SP2 BT driver from MS] during reinstallation be careful at the step which asks

Its good for the price but only for driving....,
01 April 2005
I just got this headset and I am using it with my PDA (Audiovox VX6600 from Verizon) which I like very much! The set up was easy. Just make sure you read the instructions on how to pair the devices. Inside the car sounds good and people hears me good too. But, outdoors is terrible...even at Home Depot was bad...very statically....Also, after wearing it for a little while (30 min ) my ear aches even if I am not talking....It could be me and my allergies that don't help....In conclusion it work for the car which is I wanted mostly for. However, I wish I could use in other places. I will keep trying...
Bluetooth is great!

Medium good,
26 March 2005
Bought this almost a month ago because of the price - about $40. Bought it to replace a more expensive Jabra BT200 which I lost. The following description is comparing the Platnronics to the Jabra. Fits my ear medium good; has two sizes of ear pieces that fit around the back of the ear. Pretty light, but doesn't quite fit the shape of the back of my ear, so fatigue sets in after about 1/2 hour. When that happens I switch to the other ear. Sounds a little tinny, but not too annoying. However it's not as loud. Turn it up too much and it gets more tinny and may distort. Has that light "plastic toy" fit and feel. Pairing to my Nokia 3650 went as expected. Range... about 30 feet, and then the signal starts breaking up. Not too bad. Battery life... pretty good. I notice that it goes into a low-power mode after a few seconds (when not in a call) unless the phone wakes it up. Reconnect from low-power mode to an ongoing conversation takes about 1/2 to 1 second. I noticed that my phone will run out of battery power in half the time when bluetooth is enabled, so I usually leave it shut off unless I'm already in a call. Besides, when bluetooth is on, it quiets the ringing. So if the headset isn't in my ear, I may not hear the phone ring.
